Toastmasters International - Speeches, Chaired meetings, Toastmaster, Table Topics, Evaluator...  Let me start off by saying public speaking was my biggest fear. I'm in a wheelchair and I have spent most of my life so far trying desperately to blend in and not be a bother/burden to anyone. I joined Toastmasters to overcome this fear and see if I had any talent as a speaker. At Toastmasters I blossomed and realized my purpose and joy in life. I gained the confidence to speak in front of a group as well as the humility to receive plenty of criticism.
